This event is being held to raise money for Kings Heath Action for Refugees and the hosts are pleased to welcome Charnjit Gill and Tamanna Abdul-Karim as lead poets for the evening! If you are interested in this, please email wrcbookclub@gmail.com or bgbookshelf@gmail.com by Friday August 15th to request your space. There will also be a panel discussion with the performers, so come with your questions ready!
Tickets are £5, and ALL money from ticket sales will go to Kings Heath Action for Refugees. Kings Heath Action for Refugees is a not-for-profit charitable organisation working with local individuals, groups and schools to help refugees. They deliver a range of community fundraising events, and promote awareness, befriending, support and solidarity for refugees and asylum seekers living in Birmingham and the Black Country and those seeking safe passage across Europe.
