We are delighted to announce that we have Sally Chidlow joining us here at The Heath Bookshop to present a talk about Glam Fashion! In this talk, Sally will take us on a journey through its post war fashion influences to its full explosion in the mid 70s and beyond... Platforms + Flares optional, glitter obligatory.

Sally Chidlow is an arts and fashion historian, based in Moseley. She studied textiles and Fashion at Winchester School of Art and the London College of Fashion. She went on to work for the iconoclastic Japanese designer Issey Miyake. She has worked at the Institute of Contemporary Art and Tate Liverpool in exhibitions education and was appointed Senior Lecturer in Fashion, Textiles and Visual Culture, a post she held for 22 years. Her academic work continues, researching the history of 1970's Glam fashion in the UK.

Glam Fashion is a phenomenon of early 70s Fashion (and Music) that can be seen in a number of ways: Glam in Birmingham; ideas of fashion and music as performance of style; a fashion and music system that persists...

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, The Heath Bookshop generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through The Heath Bookshop, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
