Please read the following information very carefully as tickets will be revoked if ticket holders or their work do not meet the criteria.
Aimed at individuals who have been writing for some time, the Advanced Writing Workshop is an opportunity to receive feedback from Michel Faber, an award-winning author of seven novels, three short-story collections and a poetry book.
This event is for individuals, aged 18 or over, who have been writing for some time, have a regular writing practice and have produced some work on which they would like to receive feedback from Michel. Attendees will submit a piece of prose writing between 1500 and 2000 words (this should not be poetry or a play). Michel will review the individuals’ writing in advance and prepare feedback which will be given during the workshop. As well as giving specific feedback on each piece, Michel will also raise issues that might be interesting/relevant for the other participants therefore attendees should be prepared to discuss their work in front of others in a safe and positive environment and with respect for each of the other participants’ work. This is with the goal that all participants benefit from seeing themselves as part of a community of practitioners who have common aims. This is a once in a lifetime chance to receive personalised feedback from a highly acclaimed writer.
Please make sure you have checked the event information above. Once you have booked your place, please send your piece of prose writing to hello@theheathbookshop.co.uk no later than 23:00 on 10th March. If you do not submit a piece of writing, or it is not an appropriate type or length, then you will be notified and your ticket will be cancelled and refunded.
